Crills + The Youth!
Rock to the Future is a 501c3 organization that provides free music lessons (guitar, bass, drums, or keyboards) for low-income, at-risk Philadelphia youth. Students form bands, write original music, and perform at local events. They also receive daily homework help. I’ve had the chance to work with these kids a couple times over the past year and they are great. They are all excited to be doing what I was doing when I was their age.
This December we are going to lend them a hand by way of playing an all-ages show to benefit the organization. Aside from the rocking of Crills Wilson, The Best Westerns, Sunset Recorder, Little Light and Rosa Diaz, there will be art (some by the talented Lexi Eveleth, our illustrator extraordinaire). The benefit will be at 531 N 12th Street, Philadelphia, PA in the Philamoca mausoleum.
